Punarvasu nakshatra controls the ear, throat and shoulder.

When this nakshatra is afflicted by inauspicious Grahas influence then it may cause ailments.

Aditi

is the Lord of the Punarvasu nakshatra.

To appease him,

He should be worshipped with ‘haridra'(turmeric), incense of kumkum (saffron), serantika, flowers, eight types of fragrances, incense, ghee (butter clarified by boiling and straining) lamp and yellow colored nevaidya filled with ghee.

On the day of the Punarvasu nakshatra, fill a yantra (talisman) with ‘Arka Mool’ and wear it, give food to five girls and give them gifts of gold, clothes, lotus flowers and money.

Sacrifice ghee and yellow rice.

Mix ghee and yellow rice in the sacrificial mixture and recite the mantra for this deity 108 times.
